Bilingual Summer Camps: Dublin & Carlow – July: 2nd to 5th Year
This programme is open to pupils of both sexes aged 13-16 and is free of charge if you host a foreign participant. It traditionally runs during the first 2 weeks of July (see brochure). It involves morning French/Spanish/German classes for groups of 8 to 15 Irish pupils, while their European guests attend English classes. Supervised sporting and cultural activities are then organized for all the pupils in the afternoons.
This holiday camp is ideal for anyone who, at no expense, would like to:
- Practise his/her aural and oral foreign language,
- Actively occupy 2 weeks in July
- Enjoy sporting and cultural activities
- Make new friends/perhaps obtain a new contact for a future exchange
During this period, the only thing the Irish family is asked to provide is the full-board accommodation for the student and the airport repatriation (on arrival, students are collected at the airport and driven to a central location for pickup). A small nominal fee is requested for coach transfers.
Our past pupils particularly appreciated the opportunity to occupy their time in a structured and active way, and in particular at no cost to their parents.
Please note:
- A family can host 2 students of different nationalities.
- Friends/siblings are welcome to join in (€420 if not hosting a student).
- The German students are staying in Ireland for only one week.
- FREE of charge.
